Inspired by the ancient Aran and Scottish Fleet patterns reflecting man's work on the land and the sea. Straker pulled together stitches which had personal meaning, integrating her passion for horses(The Hoofprint), her need to work the soil (Seed Stitch) and her involvement and love of early architecture (King Charles Brocade - diamond shapes represent ancient windows). |
