| The
Flower-Poncho Poncho is a fanciful salute to the retro fashions of the
'60s, but prettily updated for now. It's easier to wear than a shawl, and
looks great with jeans or short skirts! It knits up fast in a garter
stitch lace pattern, with two strands of yarn held in the hand together.
Recommended for Intermediate knitters.
The poncho is knit on 5 mm (US 8) 24-inch circular
needles and features flowers in a grid design. It is knit by casting on at
one lower edge and knitting to the other, casting off and on again for the
neck opening in the middle. This is a garter stitch design with lace
shaping on one side only except for the straight lines of faggoting. |
