Field of Flowers Design by Evelyn A. Clark for Fiber Trends A field of flowers is bordered by waves of old shale on this square shetland style lace shawl.  The center square is worked back and forth in rows of garter lace.  The border is picked up and knit in rounds, then bound off with a simple lace edging.
