This lace-patterned shawl, adapted from the Faroese style, is contoured and shaped for a natural, excellent drape and fit.  The pattern begins with the center back neckband, then proceeds to be worked from the neck down, increasing at the necessary design points to shape the traditional center back panels, side panels, front bands, and fitted shoulders.  The panels and garter stitch bands are further defined by working my method of increase stitches that results in the appearance of a 'fake' decrease line.  Treat yourself, or someone special, with this practical but elegant creation specially designed with lots of hearts (and love!).
