At Sea Guernsey

This Guernsey sweater is knitted in the traditional manner, circularly and without seams.  The pattern begins with the classic Channel Island cast-on and split garter welts, which are knitted flat.  Once the welts are completed, they are joined circularly and knitting continues through a stockinette stitch area, where initials can be included.
